About Dr. Blumberg
Dr. Barton Blumberg has been practicing and teaching for over 30 years. He attended University of Florida where he received his bachelor’s degree and then attended and graduated in 1981 from the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry in the top 10 percent of his class six months early. He then completed a one-year Medical Anesthesiology Residency at The Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and then went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The University of California Irvine Medical Center and Long Beach VA Medical Center.
Dr. Blumberg entered private practice in the East San Francisco Bay area for 20 years and then relocated to The Villages in 2007. He has been very active during his entire career as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, a SIM Man course instructor that deals with emergency medical situations under anesthesia, teaching other doctors and an anesthesia evaluator for the State Dental Boards. He has also been a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since returning to Florida. Dr. Blumberg has an Implant Study Club through the International Team for Implantology, the worlds’ largest research and education organization for dental implants.
Dr. Blumberg holds hospital privileges at Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Hospital. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He holds a Fellowship in all local, state and national organizations of Dentistry, Implantology, Anesthesia and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Blumberg lives with his wife, his English Setter service dog Amber and two other rescued English Setters in Ocala.
